Learning a foreign language can be difficult and time consuming, but the results are worthwhile.

If you’re looking to travel extensively in or relocate to any country that doesn’t have English as a native tongue, you should definitely learn its language.

Even if you’re not going to be somewhere for very long, the basics can prove invaluable. Locals are much more receptive to travellers who make the effort, and it can help you with getting around a country, checking into hostels and ordering food from restaurants.
