Music and travelling come hand in hand. You'll listen to so much music on your gap year and your MP3 player will become one of your most prized possessions. After all, what else is there to do on the long bus and train rides apart from listening to music?
You'll discover so many new bands just by talking to other gappers, expanding your musical horizons, and watching local acts can be a real cultural experience. Also, you can try your hand at a new instrument , such as djembe in Africa or sitar in India.
