And so, on the 2nd of December, three months after Iâ€™d left, I returned to Heathrow airport, very tired and very exited and very happy to be home. I love travelling, but there really is no place like home, especially at Christmas time. And so, a tube and a train ride later, I was standing in Peterborough train station hugging Tom. We went to the pub and didnâ€™t really stop drinking for the next twelve hours. I had a fantastic night, it was so good to see all my friends again, and to drink pints, and to understand the currency and to hear some good music.
Iâ€™ve been back for 5 days now and Iâ€™m not feeling quite so jubilant. Iâ€™ve realised that I have less than no money, the weather is shocking and Iâ€™ve got to find a job. poo. Oh well, thereâ€™s always next time to planâ€¦â€¦â€¦
