right im not looking for now, will be wanting to do this after college at the end of 2009. but i would love to become a ski instructor in france. i ski race on snow && dryslope, so can ski, but apparently it is hard to join the esf from scratch && what i could make out of their website in french is that the course lasts 2 years, but i only have one then im going to go to uni. the other one is getting a BASi qualification, but thats almost £6000!! some of my friends have done this && then gone into coaching, but itd be hard for me to get the money for this unless i find a second job
does anyone know of any cheap but proper companies recruiting && training?
thanks

Hi,
Pisteurs are the guy who takes care about the slopes, the users….

You could begin with the first degree and after increase in level.
Don’t hesitate if you have more question.

Not in france - they have quite tough restrictions on training and so on and it’s only really the ESF that can do training and it is REALLY tough to get in. You’ll have to do time trials, basically beating the time set down a course by one of the fastest skiers in that particular school. If you get past that and can get a training place then they’ll break you down back to basics and teach you to ski the way they want you to.

If you do the BASI you may be able to get a job with an english speaking ski school in France… It costs what it does because it costs a lot to run a business in France, property costs are high in the Alps and so on…

Just to add, could you look into doing some of your training here, or even in the states. Might be a bit cheaper.
