leaving boyfriends to go traveling

Im a lot older than he is and the trip will definately change me! and mature me even more! So im worried there will be too much of a difference wen i get home :( im 19 and he is 17.. almost 18. (in men theres a big difference… sorry guys lol)

Yeah give that one ten years and that age difference won’t seem big anymore :lol:

With my old-married-woman hat on, all I can say girls is go and do what you want to do. Men will come and go and chances are if you’re still young, you won’t be with the same guy you’re with now in 10 years time. My friends and I are all 28/29 sort of age and only one of them is still with the guy she met when she was 18. At the time we all thought we’d be with these guys forever…

Anyway, I think my point is, go and do things for yourself - fair dos you will miss your man whilst you’re away, but if it’s meant to be it will be.

im leaving my boyfriend for 5 weeks to go to greece with my family. i know its not that long but i just know im going to miss him so much. We have been together for 8 months and they have been incredible. My fear is that things will change when i get back and he will feel differently about me. I know how much he loves me but i cant brush the thought.. Any words of wisdom?

when i was 19 I went to America with my family for 6 weeks, I’d only been with my boyfriend for about 2 months and had the same worries as you.

Turns out, we kept it touch at least once a day by text, which doesnt sound alot, but when youre on the other end of the world that 1 text can mean so much.

Dont forget about skype and emails and facebook. 5 weeks sounds alot now but its really not long at all.

I came home, rang him, and we just lay on my bed talking for a few hours, then after that it was all back to normal. :)

Just go, don’t fret about the relationship - if its meant to be it will be.
