Has anyone applied for the Vietnam visa online before?
I was originally planning on getting my Vietnam visa in Bangkok, but due to a major flight delay, I then didnt get chance.
Using website - www.visa-vietnam.org I applied for the online visa where you pay 20 USD and they send you a letter which you take to the airport with you and then get your passport stamped on entry to Vietnam, paying another 25USD. I have received the confirmation letter which I am supposed to present at hanoi airport, however after this letter was sent, Western Union cancelled my payment to the visa dept, as I hadnt rung them, which they requested in an email. (I was on a trek and didnt see the email). I am unsure whether to trust this method and wondering whether I should head back to Bangkok to sort out my visa, to be on the safe side.
Has anyone used the online method before and had any problems? If I get my visa in Bangkok, how long will this take and how long does it take if using the express service?

To get Vietnam visa in Bangkok you can go to Vietnam embassy in Bangkok, fill in the Vietnam visa application form and wait about 1 week.
