Hi,
Ive realised since I started planning this gap year that I was going to need a bit of money…although I didn’t realise quite how much until I budgeted with Nadia a few months ago. My parents said from the start that they would pay for my flight but id have to pay for everything else. I thought to myself… yeah ill manage that, not really considering how much it costs to live these days.
So serious job hunting was in order. Managed to get a job to help raise the funds in a sports shop. It’s ok and im getting paid ok, im working 2 nights a week and full time weekends. Its gona start getting me tired and rundown because ill be at school aswell but I just have to keep thinking about how amazing the next year will be i supose.
And ive been thinking about the situation.. and I rekon im doing the right thing, I think that even if our family were in the financial situation to send me off on a very very expensive gap year then i dont think id take them up on it… if im being honest. I think it would feel so much better to be across there having the time of my life and knowing ive worked hard for it. If i was across there knowing i could get any amount of money when i clicked my fingers and made a quick call to daddy then i probably wouldnt appreciate the experiences as much.
So yeah im tired, moody and a bit rundown these days but next year I will have the biggest smile on my face. I cant wait.
