Volunteering in 2010-2011 HiV/AIDS Projects / Medical Projects

Hi,

I am looking at doing some voluntary work for a few months in 2010-2011.  I would like to do this in some sort of medical setting helping with medical care or HIV/AIDS awareness etc.

Just wondering if anyone else is thinking about doing the same kind of thing as currently I have nobody to go with as its not really up any of my friends street after we have just graduated and people are going straight into work etc. If anyone else is considering this in 2010-2011 give feel free to send me and email and let me know if anyone is in the same boat / can give any good advice.

I went with a company called Sub Saharan Adventures & They were REALLY GOOD with Me!! I actually volunteered as a conservationist but i was out there with a lot of people who were doing HIV/AID work in Kenya at distribution centres/medical centres and hospitals. It looks like really good work and i know for a fact it works especially in Kenya as i have seen it with my own eyes!

They have loads of projects in East Africa!

HEY! where were you thinking of doing the volunteering? check out maybe i to i??? im interested in doing volunteering too most likely in thailand though…im not sure if there is many HIV projects there?!? but if you find any please let us know!!

If you find anything let me know as I am also desperate to do volunteer medical work. I’m moving to Tanzania in September to live and work but I also need to gather medical work experience while I’m out there so I can apply to med school. I’ll let you know if I find anything while I’m out there.
