Hi all,
We want to travel from Singapore to KL by overnight train on 1st Feb next year, which i now realise is very close to the Tet holiday.
So i was hoping to buy our train tickets early to make sure we get a sleeper or a seat for this day as we have a really nice hotel booked for KL (the only one we’ll stay in all trip i suspect as its my 30th!!). However the malaysian online website is down, and the e-mail’s i send seem to just bounce back??
Does anyone if there are any other websites or travel agencies that you buy tickets from?
In this case i’m happy to pay more to know we have tickets and reduce stress!!Thanks x
Hi, not sure if you can purchase the tickets but you should be able to get all information needed through www.seat61.com
Ah seat61 is one of the best websites EVER.
Not sure if you have gone on your trip already but just to let you know and for future travellers that the trains from Singapore centre to Malaysia have now closed.
The new station has been moved to the boarder so the best way to get to the boarder is to take a bus close to Bugis to JB costs about £2-3 then cross the boarder and you can grab a train from JB.
Its cheaper to book it Malaysia side and its only a hop over the crossing.
But why take the train when the Bus is cheaper and more comformatable and it leaves from the centre of Singapore close to golden mile. more easier.
unless your taking the jungle route which is longer but more scenic.
