Asia March 2011!!

Anyone else heading to Asia around March time? Heading into Bangkok March 3rd then travelling around from there! x

Hi, i saw your post on the messageboard thingy! i might well be around at that time, i have been around all that area before and it is amazing, thus i want to go back. I am leaving in a hurry, so mine will be a very spur of the moment trip with nothing planned.

Will be landing in BKK on 13th March, then heading down to the Islands about the 15/16th. Back up to BKK for the 26th and then onwards to Laos, vietnam and cambodia.

Hi there

A friend and I are heading to South east asia, Loas,
Cambodia and Vietnam (flying into Bangkok and leaving
from Ho Chi Min)

Has anybody got any advice on a route which would take around 4-5 weeks?

We have both already visited Thailand so will just head north and across into Loas but from there we need to find a route seeing the best places along the way, on a budget of around 900 english pounds, would anybody say this is realistic or not?

ANY advice would be great, thanks

I am the newest member to gapyear.com,I joined (21/3/2011) and I and not in a gap year, far from it, my 57th year, just because you are older dont mean you cant travel ?.
I’m just back from Kuwait,Egypt,Thailand,Laos,Vietnam, and India and I would like to say the most expense is getting there and back, food and room in Chiangmia (Th) was a about £8 a day.
I went down the Meekong to Luangprabang (Laos) a good meal there was about 40 pence and great, cooked there in front of you, the room about £7 a night.
Onto Hanoi (Vietnam) that was very cheap of which I have 1,380.000 (one million three hundred and eighty thousand Dong) £46 to you and me, e.mail me and you can have it for £36 which means you can eat there for a week for nothing.

im touring bangkok start 9th march

Hi :)

A few of us arrive in Bangkok on the 6th March, spending 4 nights in BKK then heading up North…to Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam etc back into South Thailand/Islands from there head down to singapore and KL then fly out to OZ in June.

Does anyone else have similar plans? or fancy meeting up?
