I HAVE TO CUT MY FIJI TRIP SHORT :-( What’s best to do??

I’ve been travelling for 9 months so far and will arrive in Fiji in approx 3-4 weeks time.
All my plans of island hopping etc have gone out the window due to lack of funds…
I am thining of heading to One island and staying there for 5 days to a week, I am a Diver, I like to meet the locals, I like to Party and on a bit of a budget.
Can anyone suggest an Island that they have been to/heard that is good and will suit my needs.

i would check out 2 islands at least over the week you are there!
the beach comber island is a party island and also has good dive spots. the dive master Eiji is awesome! really funny guy and knows some awesome dive spots!
if you head to the mamanuca islands they are close to the mainland and are not too expensive to get to! i was in fiji for 8 days and spent fiji $600 with all my accom, travel, food, alcohol and activities included in that price! which when i went was about 250GBP
you dont have to book with the fiji experience or companies similar…. they are expensive in comparison! i booked through my hostel (nomads in nadi) and they sorted everything out for me! everyone in fiji knows someone who can get you where you need to be and they are good at prices!
i also went to mana, which was awesome. you can go on boating trip and dive from there too (i didnt dive from mana so cant help you with that)  stayed at the mana lagoon where you are made to feel like a family member, they sing to you and do shows and go out of their way to make you feel like home! you are welcomed into the cava ceremonies and introduced to traditional fijian drinking. it was incredible. i had the best 8 days in fiji… i want to go back!!!

Thats awesome info Thanks for that! I have actually decided to stay for 10 days now, so will def do a bit of island hopping! Thank you for the advice :-)
