What to do after the Bay Islands in Honduras?
Im travelling down from Guatemala to the caribbean Bay Islands in honduras and ive got my trip pretty well mapped out but im stuck as to where to go immediately after the Bay Islands, has anyone been around about there? Dont really fancy going into tegucicalpa so where else can you go in one days travelling south from BI’s?
Any ideas???
Hey, I did this route back in 2007 and ended up going to Tegucigalpa. It was a full day of pure travelling, left Roatan at about 5.00am, mini van to the ferry port, ferry, taxi from ferry port to bus station, then a veeeeeeery long (but luxurious) bus ride to Tegucigapla that got me in around 7.00pm, then taxi to the hotel. I ate some food, rested my head and first thing the next day moved on, got the bus to Managua and then a mini bus across to Granada which was beautiful and well worth a visit! If you did end up having to go there, it’s not like you’d be forced to sit around for several hours trying to occupy your self as you’ll arrive so late!
But I agree, it’s the worst city I’ve ever had the displeasure of visiting!
