I have read some really bad reviews on the Vango Freedom so I have decided to go for a Berghaus Jalan my only problem is do I get a certain size or just get whatever’s cheapest?
I only ask because if I get a bigger one will I just end up over packing?
The choices are
55+10
55+15
60+10
60+15
70+10
70+15
I am going to SE Asia, Australia and New Zealand for a total of 9/10 months and I don’t know which size would be best
Thanks in advance :)
I think Vango has an undeserved bad rep, iv had mine for 3 years and its as good as new!!
Go for the 60 +15, its a long trip your doing so you will prob be bringing a whole load of stuff so 55 might be pushing it a bit. 70 would be to big.
Honestly i think day bags of 10 and 15 are still way too small and am ditching my 20 one which is teeny aswell for a larger schoolbag
I was considering gettting a beghaus Jalan. I still need to look at options.
I would be choosing between the 55+15 and the 60+10.
I already have a really good 25L North face backpack that I’d be using as my daypack. I think I’d give the daypack from the rucksack to my parents instead.
Good topic and I’ve got two perfect guides for you.
The first is written by Lexi who knows a lot about backpacks. And I mean a lot. Here it is - http://www.gapyear.com/articles/90410/lexi-quintons-guide-to-choosing-a-backpack/1443
The second is how to pack your backpack, which is packed (pun intented) full of advice and information - http://www.gapyear.com/articles/90432/how-to-pack-a-backpack/1443
Hope that helps!
I’ve already read both of them :L I think I’ll go for the 60+10/15 :)
Snooples, has your bag ripped or anything? The Vango looked sooo much better then the Berghaus for practicality and bigger day pack. The only thing is the reviews I have read on here (then again that was only two) :L xx
