Hello, I am a (soon to be) 19 year old girl from Scotland. I have pretty much decided that next summer for a month or so I am going to go Interrailing about Europe. Unfortunately despite all of my friends constantly saying “oh I’d love to go travelling” and “oh I’ll come to Paris with you in the summer” all previous plans have fell through due to entirely unreliable friends who never seem to put these desires to travel into action. So I’ve decided that I’m going travelling with or without people next summer, however I can’t help but feel a little bit uneasy about travelling entirely alone.

So if anyone would be interested in in coming interrailing with me next summer then please message me!

Hello!

Interrail was always on my to do list since I came back home from Oz but I had to start saving from scratch. Only now i’ve started to get a good bit of money together.

I Always have the same problem. Given up asking my mates now about travelling. I seem to be the only one who’s serious about it.

When abouts are you planning on going next year?

and whereabouts are you planning?

Hello,

Well I was thinking probably sometime in June (maybe early or mid?) next year for about a month.

My plans were to just go around Europe really, I’m honestly not overly fussed about where in Europe, I just really want to see new places. So I’d be more than happy to go anywhere.

I sent you a pm Katie.

Where do you plan on going Gareth? Main problem with a Western Europe trip in peak times is the price tbh. That’s why the whole Eastern Europe/Balkans thing appeals to be a bit more. Drink, food and acc. are usually cheap as chips in those poorer countries (not quite developed, not quite third world).

I’m generally more interested in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Like Montenegro especially and Croatia aswell. Pretty much everywhere tbh. Though I do wanna go to Western Europe aswell. Just Eastern interests me more.

Not made my mind up on when to go yet though. Was hoping next year to start teaching English abroad but I’m nowhere near finished my course and June is a particularly good time to go so anything can happen.

What about you? When and where do you plan to go?

Sorry for the wait. I was quite into the idea of Poland/Ukraine then heading south to Istanbul and up through the Balkans (Croatia, Bosnia etc) and then maybe into Central European countries like Hungary/Czech Republic/Austria, but then again that might be a bit ambitious lol. I’m also happy to change plans a bit, and I wouldn’t be too bothered if I didn’t go as far as Istanbul/South Balkans.

Always wanted to go Ukraine. Not looked into Poland as much but saw it around the Euros time and looked amazing.

Must say I’m pretty open too. Don’t really plan much me. Most of my best moments have been spontaneous.

The Interrail pass is unlimited travel though for a month through 30 countries so can afford to be a bit ambitious.
