Hi everyone :)
I just started planning my gap year, so I haven’t got anything figured out yet! My ideal trip would be to do a language course spanish a couple of weeks, and after that some voluntary work, and do some backpacking in between. I think I will leave for S-A in January. Anyone having the same plans who would like to travel together? Or any ideas, organisations for voluntary work?
Let me know! :)

Hey guys, this all sounds good to me as I’m looking to travel around South America from around December/January. Let me know if you’re interested as I’d really like a travel buddy or two to go with.

If you want to volunteer with animals I can recommend two awesome centres. One in Bolivia and one in Ecuador. Both are super-cheap (under $100 a week last time I checked, and includes accommodation), BUT you have to be prepared to actually work. Shovel shit, dig holes, put up fences, etc.

If it sounds like what you’re after then let me know.

Hi
i’m 18 just finished school this year and want to go travelling next year.
Ive already started planning and am wanting to travel South America - starting in Rio in Jan and staying for carnival and then working my way up through Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru up to Ecuador to finish by working in an animal sanctuary in the Amazon for two weeks in April.
Im looking for someone to join up with as it would be good to have some company for at least part of the way!
Not sure how this forum works or how we get in touch with each other so if any of you know or are interested in what I’m planning please let me know!

Hey there!

I’m looking at travelling around Peru and Bolivia at around the same time. I’m flying out on the 28th January to Lima and then from the 4th Feb - 4th April, I’m volunteering in Cusco.

Then I aim to travel around Peru and Bolivia until the 17th June.

Just so you know a bit about me - I’m an 18 year old British girl on her gap year.

I would love to travel around with a few people, as it always makes it a lot more fun (and safer).

If anyone is interested in travelling around with me, just send me an email with your plans to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Cheers,

Zoe :)

Hi guys,

I’ll be heading from New Zealand to South America on 23rd Jan. I fly into Santiago, but will only be there for a couple of nights as I have to get to Buenos Aires to start a volunteer project on 28th January for 4 weeks.

After that is done, I have a flight to Lima booked for 25th February and have just over two months to do Peru, Bolivia, Northern Chile, Northern Argentina and some of Brazil to finish in Rio for my flight home at the end of April. My only date commitment in that time is the Inca Trail from 11-14th March, with a couple of days in Cusco beforehand.

I’ve been away for almost four months already now through Asia and Australasia, so if anyone wants information about those places or someone with some idea what they’re doing to travel with/meet up with give me a shout!

Ben
