I have booked my accomodation for Xmas/New year in Sydney, although I was stupid and left it quite late so there were hardly any places available! Have you booked yours?

I haven’t booked other accomodation along the east coast though, as I’m considering doing it once I’m over there. How about you?

I’ve booked a couple of weeks at Base hostel, although I’m hoping to stay and work in Sydney for a couple of months, so hopefully I’ll find more accommodation for a couple over months covering Christmas and and new year.

We will be looking to house share ASAP and then for work for roughly 2-3 months before considering moving up the coast

I’m heading out to Sydney next week, staying in a hostel initially to meet people, then will look to flat share as it should be cheaper!  Also hoping to get a job there, as I can’t afford not to!

You don’t need to think about that who will be at airport. Just learn more about Sydney so that you can easily travel at Sydney. Because its the important part of aussie travel

My boyfriend and I arrive 29th Oct (in Bangkok just now). We’ve no idea what we are doing about accommodation yet! Trying to find a flat but might end up doing the hostel thing like you Calum to meet people then try to find a flat together with some people in the same situation.

We plan to be there at least 3 months, possibly 6-8 if all goes well on the job front (or we’ll try Melbourne after if not!).

Its quite hard to find a fat share in sydney anyway and most people end up in hostels.
And if your coming during summer it will be close to impossible to find anything so be prepared for that!
