NZ WHV Requirements - age help please
I know the age limit is 30 but is that when entering the country or when applying?
I’m trying to find out if by the time I finish university will be I be too old to go :( I hope not - I’ll be 30 in the August of my graduation year but if I can leave before I turn 30 does the visa still count? Or does the visa expire when I turn 30 - even if I am currently in NZ on the WHV?
I hope this all makes sense lol
I’m almost certain it’s at the time of application, at least it is for Australia.
Try the NZ department of immigration’s website, you should be able to find out from there.

You have until the day before you turn 31 to enter the country. So as long as you apply when your 30 and enter the country before you are 31 then its fine. So technically you could be 31 for the majority of your stay in NZ.
