Hey, I was wondering if anyone has an idea of where I can buy/arrange for someone else to by tickets for Machu Picchu since the government website is no longer accepting credit card payments due to fraud.

I am heading down in November and will only be at MP for one day and am not interested in doing an organized tour.

Thanks!

There are two ways you can get round this:

1) Turn up and see if you can get one once you’re there (risky). Visit the tourism office in Cusco or take a chance and turn up early morning (I mean 4am early) and go to the ticket office at Machu Picchu itself.

2) Contact a Peruvian tourist operator and ask them if they can buy one on your behalf. You will pay a commission for this but you will get a guaranteed ticket.
