Staying beyond your visa….

Hi guys

Just wondering if you know of any consequences if I were to stay in Australia for a few days after my visa expires?

I heard that up to a week you just get told off anything more and you get a ban.

Any experiences with this?

P.S. It’s stupid to overstay a visa. It affects a LOT of other visa applications that ask if you’ve ever overstayed/been kicked out etc and is totally unnecessary. If you want to stay longer I’m sure you can extend your visa. Look on the link above for info.
