It really is! So if anyone who hasnt seen it is reading this, you have to watch it!

Its been two years since iv seen it so going to root it out soon and watch it again before I head off for the year. Last time I watched it I had come back from a trips and it just made me so depressed about being home that I havent watched it since.

Love A Map for Saturday… I want to watch it again but fear it will make me freak out about being stuck in one spot for a while… Maybe I’ll put it on when I feel like spending money… to remind me why a manicure is not neccesary and put that money straight into my travel account instead!!

Anyway..

Another super good one.. is
http://theodysseyexpedition.com/about/grahams-world-the-tv-show

Dude goes to every country in the world with NO planes.. within one year. I watched it on the plane.. somewhere.. but it didn’t have the last episode :/ So I dont know if he made it.. yet!

-Long way round + Long way down
Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman travel around the world w motorcyles.. then down the world in the 2nd series (it’s not as good as the first)

-An Idiot Abroad
Karl Pilkington + Ricky Gervais + Steve Merchant… its more funny with a bit of travel mixed in.. but both series are really good. First series he does the wonders of the world.. seconds a bit diff.. but still brill!

Where can you get A Map for Saturday? The DVD only appears to be available in the USA. Hmph.

I watched Ultimate Traveller, I enjoyed the travelly side of it, the reality TV side however I could have done without!

I love anything Simon Reeve does, his series are fantastic. They tend to cover quite a wide variety of topics.

I’m sure if you use uTorrent or something then you could find a torrent of it online. Not that I’d know anything about that of course…

The BEACH!!!  :D

Just kidding, it’s absolutely wank. The book is good though.

As somebody said above, the BBC travelling shows with Simon Reeve are always good (even though there’s something slightly annoying about him - not sure what it is). Holidays in the Danger Zone is amazing and made me really want to travel to the ‘Stans, which is something I still haven’t done :(

Also James1985 recommended a good one to me… Madventures. This is a show where two mental Finnish guys travel to mad places and do off-the-wall shit. Give it a watch.

Well I would be earning if I could but my contract ends next week and what are the chances of getting a job for 4 weeks? zero

So I have to become a recluse for a month and these shows will definately help!

Also whilst its not about backpacking, I love Up In The Air.

I bought Map For Saturday from its website, and it arrived within a week. So worth it!
