Australia, NZ, Fiji & Thailand

Hi All

Im Planning on working/travelling in America for 4 months, then will be on my way to Australia mid September and onwards from there.

Heres the thing, i have someone coming to America with me,but he cant afford to come any further, and as I am planning on being away for a year + in Aust,Fiji, NZ & Thailand not something I am looking forward to on my own :)

I know i will meet people in Hostels and on the tracks e.t.c, but i also think it will be good to speak to a few others who are possibly going at the same time for a bit of guidance.

So is anyone else doing the same sort of route?
What are peoples suggestions on places that i must see.
In general any advice would be appreciated

I am new to this whole pick a bag and go thing so i need HELPPPPPPPPPPPPP :)

Hi im doing a similar route to you. Im going to work in Canada for 10 months before going to America, NZ, Fiji, OZ and Thailand.

I’m leaving in september.

i know the countries i want to go to, but i dunno where to start, lol u started planning places yet.

i dont know what to save either, america is basically paid for its the rest of it lol

Im going to be working hopefully get a job in a ski resort or something.

I’ve planned a little of my trip, so i know kinda what im doing.  Im going to be working in Nz, Oz and Canada so that helps my funds a little.  Aiming to take around £10000.

Where in America are you going?  I’ve already travelled parts of America so i can give you some advice on the parts that i have already been to.

Where ever i can get a placement, im going to be working at Camp America for 3 months hopefully, then travel round after for a month, if i cant see them whilst working then i will go New York, Vegas, Washington, then to Canada before i set of to Australia as i would like to see Niagra Falls and do the boat ride e.t.c.

oh kl whats your plan when it comes to Australia, i dont know if im going to spend 6 months, a year, or go back to amercia for 3 months ( 9 months after leaving first time round) then return to Australia, so many options, but dunnno where to start, and i wanna see most of Australia which doesnt pin point any specifics lol

I want to do a year in Australia that way i can do as much of it as i can.

My plan is still a bit rough but so far i have 7 months in Canada, Brazil 1 month for the world cup, back to Canada for 4 months,America for 3 months, New Zealand for 6 months, Fiji for 3 weeks, Australia for 12 months and SEAsia for 3 months.

Wow! Wish I had the time to do all of that! Unfortunately, I only have 6 months for my whole trip. Looking at booking a round the world ticket. Do you think I have enough time?
