We’ve arrived in Dehradun now and have started our teaching placement. It’s been quite a strange experience, we were beseiged by requests for autographs and handshakes from all the effervescent children, but after a while I had to begin teaching grammar-not as fun as sports or wrestling to them. In the last week we missed our bus to Manali and went to a small village in Himachal Pradesh called Tattapani. Here there are hot springs and the owner of one of the guest houses took us on an expedition to one of the mountains. We meditated with him at a Brahma temple then watched the sunset over the himalayas. In the morning there was a fresh snowfall. We’re out of the cold now and have a month as teachers-should be an interesting time.
oooh!!what an interesting experience! tell me how are the people there?? are they very different??? i think India is a great country…I’d like to go there.
Did you like the Himalayas??...I think meditate it’s a very relaxing experience…I hope you enjoyed it…
