not much to say for this leg of the journey so i’m going to save my energy for the better bits!  Broken Hill was not our cup of tea really, although our night out with two mad danish girls in the local democratic social club (?) was quite entertaining.  It’s all just corragated iron and desert…. 8O
we were staying in the YHA but not much youth - it was more like an old people’s home - depressing, so we left!  we got a wee minibus from there to Adelaide.
Now Adelaide is more like it.  Really good weather and gorgeous beaches with no one on them…bliss.  We stayed in style at Tom’s house (thanks to my mate Amanda) which was lovely and we were well looked after in true aussie style…totally hospitable.

From there we went on a fantastic trip to Kangaroo Island which was so much fun.  We met some great people and just had a hoot for 3 days.  I did not know anything about Kangaroo Island until I got to Adelaide and was told it was worth having a look.  Apparently all backpackers get told this so there was such a mixture of nationalities.  Clare and my Irish-Scottish mixture goes down a treat - people love it!  We saw so much wildlife - penguins, roos, koalas, sealions, seals…....and the absolute tops was having the most beautiful dolphins swimming along with our boat…..magic!
We had campfires where we sat around drinking too much and eating burnt marshmallows then sleeping out in swags under the stars.  all good. 8)

There’s just too much to talk about - Clare and I have had some classic nights out since our last blast in Sydney - oh what a night that was, but that’s another story.  We are proud to say that we have danced across half of the continent together.  We had a ridiculous night out in Adelaide before leaving for Alice - we ended up crashing a work night out and having rum and coke bought for us all night - much fun!  Our campfire nights were hilarious as well - we talked alot of nonsense and saw possums eating pasta - “I ama Guiseppe and I eata spaghetti”! :)

Then there has been Alice Springs and Uluru, but I think I will have to save that for next time - too much to say, apart from it was great great great!

Clare has just left for Darwin so I am alone. :(  I am leaving in a couple of hours to go to Adelaide and then Perth - a 4 day train journey - yeehah!
