sydney....

i’m still not too sure how to post messages this way but here’s hoping i don’t mess it up!! I’ve relocated to Sydney and am working still… applying to stay on here for a year so wish me luck!

it’s getting warm here, sunny most days, it’s great…i’ve done lots of traveller-touristy type things including the bridge climb- really good fun but very expensive….been up the skytower/centrepoint tower/whatever the hell it’s called- which has the most bizarre “skytour” i have ever seen- i was in fits most of the way through it, it’s like no other exhibit/tour thing i’ve ever done- i can’t describe it, you’ll just have to check it out for yourself! but the views are great at night…. ultimate frisbee rocks! i’ve just started learning to play (yes it’s a real game and it’s loads of fun too- i recommend it to anyone!)... i’ve discovered that it’s not just kings cross that has cockroaches everywhere- they’re a city-wide treat for everyone- well as long as they don’t eat my food i don’t care… FAMOUS PERSON ALERT- yes i saw Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart) from home and away in a restaurant the other day- thrilling news only topped by my friend jolene who was buying lightbulbs next to Guy Pearce in Melbourne a couple of weeks back- OH! the dizzy heights of hanging out in places near the stars!

other than that, i’m starting to miss hanging out with my friends back home… it’s such a weird thing, travelling for a long time, you meet all these great and fantastic people but you never know them for very long before you go your separate ways and you start wishing for something a bit less temporary, and wanting to see people you’ve known for ages and have a history with…. well that’s where my head’s at at the moment, after 8 months away and it’s quite hard work. however i am still in no way inclined to get on a plane back home!! the ups definitely still outweigh any downs… :)  :)  :)
