Dorney Park

Greeley turned up in convoy at dorney park on tuesday, and i mean convoy literally…12 yellow simpson stylie ‘school buses’ packed full of singing hyperactive kids and exhausted counsellors! trying to keep 450 kids in line at a theme park like this is no small task I can tell you but with only a few hiccups we managed it! I was only looking after my cabin for the first half of the day and after alot of compromising on the bus we all made a bee line straight for the water park, not the cleverest idea ever on a full stomach but hey, after being dragged past the lazy river ride one to many times it was our 1st port of call once my co-counsellor took over with the kids in the afternoon, emerging hours later looking slightly rosier and re-charged! Managed to dash around most of the big-ens on dry land after diner (again genious i know!) I used to think I had a stomach of steel when it came to theme park rides but im ashamed to say dorney proved to be quite a test!! luckily the next day we were treated to a much needed lie in to recover so all was good! 

Im currently in a town called scranton (its about as attractive as it sounds) we went out for a meal last night it was so nice to be civilised around food for a change! Ive spent the day catching up up on sleep (yey!) emails, phone calls, etc etc all the boring stuff and managed to get a few hours in the mall this afternoon although it took all the will power i could muster to resist spending my wages! (or atleast ‘all’ of my wages, oops!) I think a baseball game or the cinema is on the agenda for this evening before we head back to camp! Its been so nice to relax especially as tommorrows going to be pretty hectic as its the end of the half session so saying to goodbye to the majority of campers :( but the calm will be short lived as the next lot move in the following day!

well better dash Ive got a date with some ice cream…

Glad to hear you’re having a wicked time.. so jealous stuck here in rainy England - working silly hours! But hey… its not all that bad.. hard work at the pub - but really enjoying it.. the people are lovely which makes the hours surprisingly fly. Off to South America soon with James.. flying out to Lima on 15th Aug.. so any advice if you have time would be great.  Hoping to go to La Paz too.. cos remember you said twas amazin!!
Got my laptop playing random tunes & its decided to play Wedgies music!! Can’t wait for next year… or Barcelona!!! SPoke to Lucy last night & she said how James & Ben r gona try and come with us!  That would be wicked!  DOn’t know if you’ve spoken to anyone… but everyone passed… so we’re gona be complete next year :D
Met up with Kassia on Mon for a coffee too which was nice & caught up!
The others (Clare, Luce, James, John, Jenny & ALys) all went to stay with Clare after retakes.. I didnt go but sounds like they all had awesome time.
