I met up with my next group in Victoria Falls and finally left, making the long journey to Livingstone, Zambia; a full 12km away.  Another messy night insued as we went on my second booze cruise.  It wasn’t quite as bad as last time, we actually made it to the bar afterwards but Tyson the host and James the barman looked less than happy to see us.

Then it was onto Lake Malawi, fresh water, but looks like a sea due to the beaches and waves.  A great place to chill out, unless you’re walking up to Livingstonia Missionary; a mission in itself.  It was then onto Zanzibar where I’ve been for the past three days.  The beaches are lovely, the Swahili culture is enchanting and the turquoise waters are warm, super clear and full of fish; paradise.  We’re off to Arusha in the next couple of days to go on safari in the Serengeti.

Less thjan three weeks to go now, how depressing!!

Ha, I thought I recognised that subject header. I wasn’t sure my diary had even made it to the new website. Just read a few bits and bobs from it; takes me back every time. Getting married in 57 days - I wonder how many more independent travel experiences I’ll get to have? Good times.

Congrats on the wedding, you’ve posted lots of great stuff on this site over the years and I think people could learn from your travels.
