Well after another crap flight with Air NZ I arrived back in the UK. I was glad to be back on home soil but the credit card ahs taken a battering. My mate Martin met me at the airport and took me to Swindon for the final 2 day s of the gapyear. We spent it all at the pub but it was great to catch up.
Since then I have met up with most of my friends and family but look back at the photos and wish I was still out there. I am stuck with the realisation that it is time to get a job and pay off those ever increasing debts. I am currently in the process of printing off my photos and sorting out the video footage I took of about 9 months – long difficult job. As far as the job hunting goes I am looking into graduate jobs and hope to nail a place next year. Then the big bucks can roll in and I can start planning another trip.
I cant believe that the year is over. It hits pretty hard once the hype has died down and you are left thinking of your memories. I have met so many great people on my travels and hope to meet up with them again once they return. That is the beauty of travel - meeting new friends and getting close to people in such a short amount of time. I learnt a lot during the travels and dont regret a second of it.
So all that’s left is to thank you all for reading my diary and i hope it had inspired some of you and helped out with any problems as well as providing a laugh now and again.
Until next time…
