Hi Guys! 3 Days to go!

Hey Guys
I finally thought it was time to spread my wings and leave the dreary streets of Leicester for pastures new. The time has finally came round and i am nearly ready to leave on my ‘big trip’. I have quit my job pushing trolleys for Mr Tesco. (probably one of the most spirit crushing, mind numbing jobs ever created!) I have my backpack, my travel mate (shockingly ill prepared he may be but i am slowly getting there whipping him into shape) and am raring to go.

First stop on my RTW ticket is Los Angeles, booked into a pretty smart looking hostel. We are just going to see the sights then leave as busy cities can do my head in so only a five day stop there. Next on the itinerary are the contrasting island paradises of the Cook islands and Fiji. Looking just to chill out in these destinations and kick back with a beer and a grass skirt. Have booked on the Fiji Experience, have heard mixed things about this so i will let you all know my verdict. Next stop is New Zealand, flying into Auckland and doing both islands on a round trip. Have heard very good things about this country and am looking forward to taking on a bunjee jump and some crazy ass white water rafting is on the list of ‘things to doo’s’!
Also got the Kiwi Experience which promises to be interesting!

Then its off to Australia. Flying into Cairns where we have booked a livaboard diving trip on the barrier reef which should be amazing. We booked that with Deep Sea Divers Den. (i should get some readies for plugging them so blatently there). then off down the coast to sydney where we hope to pick up some work and make use of our work oz visa!! Then we hope to see the rest of Oz, really looking 4ward to seeing the wilderness of the outback.

After the down under adventures its time to see the wonders of south east asia. Flying into Singapore, we are planning to overland through Malaysia into Thailand. Then back to Blighty!!

Still not finished packing yet, to be honest looks like a bit of a nightmare,

hi dave! ur trip is more or less exactly the same as mine except i leave in may. just wondering where you stayed in la? and thought i’d let u know that u have to stay at gilligans in cairns cos its the most amazing backpackers ever!!!!!! anyways hope ur having a good time. bye bye x han :D
