Cheers from LA

Found a second home in a bar down the road from the hostel called Yankee doodles.  Mainly as I met some really sound people in there.  A couple of regulars Emily a real fun bubbly girl from New York, now an actress and an producing assistant.  And a top lad, phil from the UK he’s working over in LA and now drinks every night at the bar reading the english newspapers.  Finally a chance to catch up on what’s been happening back home.

Emily’s been really good to me showing me the sites, driving me around and giving me a locals eye view.  Just before we met did the hollywood tour, cheesy but well worth it.  Gives you a good sense where everything is located around the city, you hit celeb places such as Malibu and Beverly Hills as well as downtown LA and Hollywood.

The stereotype is true about LA everyone is trying to break into or working in some sort of entertainment industry.  For example one night in a bar I was served by an actress, waited on by an actor and stayed in the same dorm as two set builders.

I’ve now checked out of the hostel and into free accommodation with my now buddy Emily and her room mates in Malibu.  Yep your right i’m a jammy sod, not only finding fantastic people but the apartment overlooks Malibu beach and the view is superb and it’s all FREE !. Especially as Emily and room mate Megan seem to walk round in almost nothing all day…. ahh life is good.  So it will come as no surprise when i say I extended my stay here i’m lovin this place.  Even the bar staff no my name in Yankees’s ...sweet. :lol:

Ah Keiron you lucky man! Sounds like California life is just as good as it is in the movies! Great to hear from someone who actually speaks positively about LA. Most people i know slate it into the ground saying that it is one of the worst places to visit in America.
I don’t know how that can be when there is so much to do there.

Glad you’re doing OK Kie. Mate come home, Aid is trying to convert me into a sceptic! Help! I hope that everything you hoped for you are being a part of, enjoy it for you may never get the chance to do it again. I miss having our chats, and well I hope you’re having a good time.
