The school aims to provide the children with a caring and stimulating environment to help them to reach their full potential. The school also boasts a life skills and occupational centre to help the children prepare for life after the school. There are 270 children who stay at the school from five provinces, cared for by a dedicated team of staff who require additional assistance with caring for and teaching the children from kindergarten to secondary level.

Upon arrival, our local coordinator will introduce you to the staff at the centre, show you to your room and make sure that you are settled in and shown around.

You will be assisting a teacher in the classroom ensuring that the children receive the attention that they need. You can choose to work with autistic, deaf or mentally impaired children, depending on your preferences. Classes include life skills, art, occupational training, bakery, sports, educational and developmental play and you are welcome to join each class.
