The Danum Valley Conservation Area is one of Sabah's last areas of undisturbed lowland rainforest, home to six out of 10 of the totally protected animals including the Sumatran rhino, pygmy elephant, clouded leopard, orangutan and proboscis monkey Volunteer in this incredible virgin rainforest, helping assist international scientists with conservation projects and rainforest education in this amazing jungle setting.

Protect species of turtles on stunning beaches in Costa Rica. Playa Hermosa literally means beautiful beach. Thousands of turtles come to lay their eggs every year on Playa Hermosa. Volunteers will get the chance to take part in nightly turtle patrols to help monitor and protect the eggs from poachers and other predators. Monitoring the nesting of the turtles gives us important information to conserve this important species. Raleigh volunteers will be living in a jungle camp environment on the beaches of Costa Rica.

Make a difference to children in remote parts of Borneo! Live and work alongside friendly communities to build a kindergartens for young children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to education. Having access to a kindergarten is fundamental to the communities we work with as it means the local children can reach the minimum standard of reading and writing required for them to enter the education system in Malaysia.

Visit some of the most beautiful and untouched areas of Tanzania on Raleigh International's adventure phase. You could be trekking south east of Iringa and North West of the spectacular Kilombera Valley. This Highland region is rarely visited by outsiders, both from Tanzania or overseas. The region takes in beautiful ridges, stunning peaks, wonderful forests and alluring waterfalls. The trek will consolidate environmental and community issues with the personal development involved in this challenging adventure. You will have the opportunity to meet and visit extremely remote local communities.
