So, what's gapyear.com all about? Simple... we're here to help you live your life to the full!

Built by people who travel, for others who want to do the same, we are a massive site with over 100,000 pages of cool ideas. Our advice guides show you how to do stuff and our one-stop-shop caters for everything from round the world flights, insurance and guidebooks to work starter packs, travel kit and bus passes.

Our global network of recommended hostels will help you find a cosy bed overseas and our jobs service will find you work if you need it. We have loads of FREE planners you can download - brilliant guides where everything is done for you. Need a travel mate? Check out our travel mates service. Need inspiring? Why not follow someone live on their trip or chat to others in the same boat on the boards.

Who are we?

Established in 1998 and with the two original founders at the helm, we are the world's largest 'gap year community'. Over 1.5 million people will use gapyear.com in 2008... so you are not alone! We don't advertise - we rely on word of mouth - so if you like the site please remember to tell a friend! Thank you in advance.
