Getting around

Taxis are very expensive, and the minimum fare is around GB£5. Le truck runs all day and all night, although at night it can be unreliable. Le truck costs around 130 francs, but prices depend on the route, if you have baggage and the time of day. You pay the driver when you get off.

Getting to other islands means taking a ferry or a flight. Ferrys to the nearest island, Moorea, leave throughout the day and cost about GB£4 one way. Flights to Moorea go every half hour from about 6am onwards. The flight takes 8 minutes and costs around GB£12.
