Fantastic location, with a bar, swimming pool and sun deck that open out right onto the beach (it claims to be the only beachfront hostel in Oz). The dorms are clean and cool and there are a range of activities and things to hire on site. The bar is one of the liveliest around, with DJs most nights
base Backpackers Magnetic Island says...
A backpackers tropical island paradise and only 20 minutes ferry ride from Townsville! base Magnetic Island is the all new base with luxurious roomss for couple, stylish dorms for singles and the best backpackers Island bar and cafe around. By day unwind, relax and chill out at the beach. At night groove by the pool with DJ's spinning their funky tunes and wicked beats.
