Get immersed in the culture of a boarding school - Thai style! As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside staff to teach and mentor students. Just as importantly, you will be involved in the daily lives of locals in both the school and the wider community.
There are no set formulas for the type of tasks you’ll be asked to do. Some schools may require you to be competent in a particular discipline. It may be on the sporting pitch, in the performing arts or in the classroom (maybe all three!). You may also be involved in other duties such as assisting the ground staff, tutoring individual students, escorting students to medical appointments, or staffing the reception desk. Whatever the situation, you’ll gain valuable work experience with a range of new challenges. The more you embrace the challenges and responsibilities of your role, the more you will be rewarded. You may even accompany your students on trips to international destinations! The schools are clean, modern and staffed with wonderful teachers who will help you assimilate to life in Thailand, both professionally and socially.
Your accommodation and meals will be provided. In addition, you’ll receive a weekly allowance to cover incidentals and provide you with some spending money. During the school holidays, you can venture across Thailand or to nearby South East Asia destinations.

Program Eligibility:
To be eligible for a ‘School Assistant in Thailand’ gap program with Letz Live, all participants must meet the following eligibility criteria upon at least 1 month prior to their arrival in Thailand.
• British, EU, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand or American passport holder;
• At least 17 years of age at time of arrival into Thailand;
• No criminal record;
• Have completed secondary school (or will have by time of departure);

Application process
Applying for a School Gap Assistant role with Letz Live is simple and completed in several easy steps. Just visit our website and click the “Apply Now” tab. Once there, complete the online application form - upload your CV, a letter of introduction and provide us with three referees (we will make contact with them directly). You will also need to finalise your ‘preparation fee’ of AUD$99.00 (this comes of the total placement fee).
Once we have heard back from your nominated referees, Letz Live will make contact with you to arrange a ‘pre-screening’ interview with you. The pre-screening interview is designed to let you know what we expect from our participants abroad and for you (and your parents) to ask any questions that you might have. During your pre-screening interview, our recruitment team will also arrange a mutually convenient date / time / venue for your formal face-to-face interview with our recruitment coordinator.
Assuming your face-to-face interview goes well (they almost all do) we will happily liaise with some of our Thai school partners regarding your application - from there - we will assist you every step of the journey and look forward to welcoming you abroad.
