A Letz Live Gap placement allows you to live and work abroad with the complete support of our team. Working alongside locals in a leading Australian Boarding School, you’ll be immersed in all aspects of school life and the greater community. You can make the most of your holiday time by exploring this land from tropical Queensland to picturesque Tasmania - and everywhere in between! To ensure you have a smooth transition to Australian living, your placement includes visas, an exciting in-country orientation program, meals and accommodation. You’ll also receive a weekly allowance.
A placement with Letz Live allows you to gain independence and confidence through caring for students in a boarding school environment whilst becoming accustomed to the Australian way of life. Perks are aplenty and those Gap assistants who embrace the challenges and responsibilities of their time abroad may even be rewarded with duties that involve travel to national or international destinations!
During school holiday periods, you are free to travel and venture off across Australia or visit nearby New Zealand, the Pacific Islands or South East Asia. At all times during your placements and indeed prior to your departure you will have continued and constant support from our Australian office who will also meet you at the airport upon your arrival.

Letz Live currently offers Gap placements throughout Australia, Canada, China, India, South Korea, Thailand and the United Kingdom, ranging from three to twelve months in duration. It is a privilege for the Letz Live crew to assist young people in their pursuit of an exciting Gap year experience before the commencement of their tertiary studies or prior to entering a chosen career path.

Whilst there is ample opportunity as a Gap Assistant to let-your-hair-down, relax, and of course see the world, a position with Letz Live requires participants to demonstrate good communication skills, initiative, leadership qualities, tolerance and patience, a sense of humour, flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team.

As part of your Letz Live placement contribution, all participants will receive the following;

Program Eligibility:
To be eligible for a ‘School Assistant in Australia’ gap year program with Letz Live, all participants must meet the following eligibility criteria upon at least 1 month prior to their arrival in Australia.
• British, EU, Canadian or American passport holder;
• At least 18 years of age at time of arrival into Australia;
• No criminal record;
• Have completed secondary school (or will have by time of departure);

Application Procedure:
Applying for a School Gap Assistant role with Letz Live is simple and completed in several easy steps. Just visit our website and click the “Apply Now” tab. Once there, complete the online application form - upload your CV, a letter of introduction and provide us with three referees (we will make contact with them directly). You will also need to finalise your ‘preparation fee’ of AUD$99.00 (this comes off the total placement fee).
Once we have heard back from your nominated referees, Letz Live will make contact with you to arrange a ‘pre-screening’ interview with you. The pre-screening interview is designed to let you know what we expect from our participants abroad and for you (and your parents) to ask any questions that you might have. During your pre-screening interview, our recruitment team will also arrange a mutually convenient date / time / venue for your formal face-to-face interview with our recruitment coordinators.
Assuming your face-to-face interview goes well (they almost all do) we will happily liaise with some of our Australia boarding school partners regarding your application - from there - we will assist you every step of the journey and look forward to welcoming you down-under!
