Work experience is a placement scheme that offers on-the-job training and career development, boosting your opportunities for the future. Work experience gives you an insight into how the working world works and gives you an idea about certain career paths.
Work experience schemes are offered all over the world, but instead of working for a company in London, why not work for company in New York or Sydney?
Work experience schemes are aimed at students and post-graduate students aged 17-26 and run for four to 12 weeks. Even though it’s usually unpaid, your expenses are covered by the company.
International work experience schemes provide opportunities for students to gain experience in their field, determine if they have an interest in a particular career, and work out if they want to relocate to a different country.
Work experience abroad will look amazing on your CV and make you much more employable for the future. Not only that, but work experience abroad really gives you the opportunity to get to know a country on a more intimate level. And who knows, you may even be offered a job at the end of the scheme.
