Travel Plans:The next place I'd like to visit is India. I'd love to spend a few weeks there and explore as much of the country as I possibly can.

Top Travel Tips:You won't need half the stuff you think you will. Pack nothing but the basics and buy everything else while you're on the road. It makes exploring markets much more exciting when you actually need to buy something and it helps you realise how little you need. I still struggle to practice what I preach here and always over-pack and then regret it!

More About Me:I've had a love for travel for as long as I can remember and as soon as I finished uni I took off on my gap year which extended into almost two years. I spent over a year in Australia where I bought a campervan and travelled all the way around the coast. I worked as a waitress, a barmaid, in telesales selling magazine subscriptions, as a warehouse manager and a diving instructor on a teeny island. I also spent almost a year in SE Asia where I travelled around Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Kuala Lumpur, Borneo, Singapore, Bali and Lombok. When I returned from travelling I moved from North Wales to London and began an NCTJ journalism course. It's now one year later and I'm just beginning a new job as the Social Media Specialist for the adventure brands at Flight Centre.

Best Travel Story:In 2009 I got caught in a typhoon in Vietnam. Within 12 hours the flood water was 6ft high and we were confined to the 3rd and 4th floor of the hotel for 4 days. It might not have been too bad but it was a budget hotel with no windows so we were trapped in the dark for 4 days with no electricity or running water with about 5 people in each room. We did nothing but play 'Shit Head' by candle light for 4 days and ate nothing but noodles and diet coke.
