Here's just some of the amazing/scary/breath-taking stuff you can get up to:

  • Game-view on elephant back, then walk with young lions at a breeding centre in Zimbabwe
  • Venture out on foot to look for Black Rhinos in Matobo National Park
  • Victoria Falls where you can white water raft, bungee jump, canoe, fly by plane, helicopter or microlight, take the booze cruise or just sit and gaze at the awesome Falls themselves.
  • Spend 3 days in the Okavango Delta, watching wildlife from your dug-out canoe (look out for hippos & crocs!), game-spotting on foot and camping in a true wilderness.
  • After a day's game-viewing in Etosha National Park, sit around the campsite's floodlit water hole in the evening where you can watch giraffe, zebra, hyena or maybe even a lion taking a drink (don't worry, it's fenced!)
  • Sand board down the biggest sand dunes in the world in the Namib Desert! Or just climb to the top to watch an awesome African sunset.
  • Quad bike, dune buggy, dune sled or horse-ride over slightly smaller dunes near Swakopmund, the adventure centre of Namibia.
  • Scratch a rescued cheetah behind the ears at one of Namibia's cheetah park sanctuaries.
  • Stick a peg on your nose and visit the thousands of seals resident on the beach at Cape Cross (yep, they're great to look at but they smell bad!)
  • Go trekking in Fish River Canyon
  • Experience the buzzing city of Cape Town and the most southerly point of Africa
  • Ride an ostrich!
  • Leap off the world’s highest bungee jump at Bloakrans Bridge.
  • See the Big 7 in Addo Elephant National Park – rhino, elephant, leopard, buffalo, whale and shark.
  • Go pony trekking in the mountains and cool off in rock pools in the mountainous kingdom of Lesotho
  • Hike through awesome scenery in the Drakensburg Mountains and Royal Natal National Park.
  • Visit Soweto and the former home of Nelson Mandela

Travel is in our fully equipped expedition truck and it's camping all the way. Each day is different - sometimes we may spend the whole day driving from one place to the next, sometimes we spend 2 or 3 days in one place eg Victoria Falls, so you have time to bungee, white water raft, horse-ride etc! All these kinds of activities are optional.

We provide cooking equipment, eating utensils and tents, all you need is your sleeping gear and personal stuff. The Oasis truck is fitted with comfortable coach seats and tarpaulin sides that roll up so you can see all that wildlife. And then there's the 'beach', a raised area at the front with mattresses and an open top so you can sit up and get a panoramic view of Africa or relax and top up your tan!

Everyone in the group mucks in with shopping for food at local markets and stores, cooking over the camp fire and cleaning the truck. The trip is led by two Oasis crew all the way, a tour leader and driver and they'll help you get the most out of your trip. Don't worry about joining the trip on your own - many do and you'll soon find you have friends for life!
