The Southern Africa Overland Experience is a 25 day journey of discovery that begins in Livingstone, Zambia's tourist capital. We spend one night there, getting to know each other as we go over all the local Lozi customs and talk through the tour.

After 11 days in Mwandi, where we camp on the banks of the Zambezi River in luxury tents, it's off for a bit of R&R as we head to the lively town of Katima Mulilo in Namibia over the newly completed bridge across the Zambezi River.

We cross through Namibia's Caprivi Strip then onto Botswana 240 km from Kasane, we come to Elephant Sands Camp. Along the way we might encounter elephant, zebra, giraffe and who knows what other wild life that just happen to be along the road en route.

We do our Chobe game drive and Chobe River Safari during our 4 days off on our African Safari Adventure then back to work in Mwandi.

If you're interested in humanitarian tours, this is an unparalleled opportunity to combine adventure travel on this tour of African countries while helping some of their most disadvantaged people, as well as actually staying and working in a totally unspoilt African Village.

Mwandi is not a tourist destination and there are no tourists or people begging on the street. During this 25-day humanitarian trip, you'll stay in Mwandi, Zambia then visit Botswana, Namibia and finally back to Zambia, where you'll help with AIDS sufferers and orphans.

Along the journey you'll see numerous incredible landmarks and a wealth of wonderful wildlife. There are also stacks of optional activities in and around Victoria Falls, including bungee jumping, canoeing and elephant rides!

With 70 ethnic groups and a strong desire to preserve its ancient traditions, Zambia offers a cultural experience like no other. You'll find yourself surrounded by a whole array of colourful local cultures and friendly people as you journey through one of Africa's most intriguing nations.

This poverty-stricken country may lack financial resources but it is certainly rich in other areas. It boasts breathtaking country scenes, thriving native wildlife and an unconquerable spirit that will make every visit unforgettable.
