Community placements in Latin America are available in either Argentina or Ecuador. With a wide variety of programmes, volunteers have the opportunity to get involved in many different activities whilst making a valuable difference to the lives of others. In Ecuador, Lattitude Global Volunteering works with a number of NGOs. These non-profit organisations are devoted to helping vulnerable people overcome grinding poverty and improve their quality of life through education, job training, nutrition programmes, health and social services, psychological help and recreation. In Argentina Lattitude volunteers work in homes for children who have either lost or been taken away from their families. The age ranges at these placements vary from very young children to young adults up to the age of 25 and who are still very vulnerable. Other community opportunities include teaching music, working in orphanages, working with an NGO helping care for and aid street children. There is also ample of opportunity to help in various roles of education, particularly teaching English. If you want to experience Latin America, improve your Spanish and make a difference to a community then this could be for you! All applicants are matched to placements to ensure that there is a good fit between the volunteer and their host communities.
