If you are up to the challenge of helping a variety of different students whilst learning a new language and becoming immersed in a completely different culture then Ecuador is for you. Volunteers will attend a one or two week language course in Quito before starting their placements. Ecuador is unique among our programmes in that it offers each volunteer the chance to work at two placements each day, perhaps teaching in the mornings and working with street children in the afternoons. This gives you the chance to make a difference to two distinct communities during your time in Ecuador. We have opportunities to work with children n young adults teaching music. Any instruments or singing will be greatly appreciated by the local commnity! Placements will also require volunteers to help with Englisg teaching too. So if you are looking for a varied role in Latin America this could be for you! All applicants are matched to placements to ensure that there is a good fit between the volunteer and their host communities. Community placements are available in either Argentina or Ecuador. With a wide variety of placement types volunteers have the opportunity to get involved in all sorts of activities whilst making a real and valid contribution to the lives of others. Opportunities include teaching music, working in an orphanage, working with an NGO helping care for and aid street children. There is also ample of opportunity to help in various roles of education, particularly teaching English.
