We hop over to Paraguay with a stay in the charming capital of Asuncion before re-entering Brazil for caving activities in Bonito. Get out your binoculars for a trip to the fabulous Pantanal, a huge wetland in the centre of South America and a bird watcher’s paradise. Crossing the frontier into Bolivia we head to the capital of Sucre, full of colonial charm. Test your claustrophobia limits with a trip down the working silver mines of Potosi then continue to the world’s largest salt lake. Make the most of Uyuni’s lunar landscape with a 4x4 jeep drive through colossal cacti and impressive geysers. Discover the fascinating markets of La Paz, the world’s highest city, before crossing into Peru. Sample the hospitality of Lake Titicaca’s native people and soak up the spectacular scenery. From treasure-filled Cuzco we journey into the great Amazon Jungle for rainforest treks and wildlife-spotting canoe rides. Follow the famed Inca Trail to arrive at Machu Picchu in time for a memorable sunrise and question the possibility of alien life forms at the bizarre Nazca lines.
