Share your passion for sport by coaching and playing sport with disadvantaged African children. Help organise matches and coaching sessions for keen players in schools and townships, giving them the chance to play and enjoy the sport they love so much.

Projects range from 4 to 12 weeks so are ideal for a summer project or gap year experience.
The African Continent.
From the baking desserts in the north to the cool beaches in the south, Africa is a continent of spectacular landscapes, awesome wildlife and rich culture. Africa is also a continent of sporting prowess and sporting talent. Sadly, however, there is a lack of sporting opportunities for many young athletes. Fortunately, you can address this imbalance by joining one of our volunteer sports projects in Africa during your sports gap year or a volunteer sports holiday.
A sports coaching project in Africa really is the perfect way to travel Africa while volunteering with African children who are eager to play sports and be coached in sport.

Sporting Opportunities Projects by Country.
Ghana: Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Football/Soccer, Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Tennis and Volleyball.
South Africa: Basketball, Cricket, Football/Soccer, Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Swimming, Tennis and Ultimate Frisbee.
Typical Hours:
Monday-Friday; 4-6 hours a day; Occasional work at weekends but usually free for personal time and travel. Please be aware that some public holidays may cause disruption to times / days during your volunteer project.
Prerequisites:
No prior coaching experience or qualifications are required, but a basic understanding of the game and/or playing experience is necessary.
Ideal For:
Sports gap years, career breaks, gap breaks, gap years, student holidays, work experience, electives and volunteer travel.
Training:
Full project induction and local orientation given on arrival.
Support:
Pre-departure help and advice; Local in-country team; 24 hour emergency support.
Donation:
Part of your fee is used to buy decent equipment for the project and community you work with.
