Snowboard qualifications
Formed in 1994, the mandate of the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) is to train and certify snowboard instructors and coaches and to ensure that a national standard of safe and efficient snowboard instruction is maintained. CASI has a membership of just over 6700 instructors and coaches now and is growing rapidly as the industry expands.

CASI Level One:
Level One is an entry level program designed to introduce snowboard instructors to the basic teaching and riding skills used at the beginner, novice and intermediate levels of riding.

CASI Level Two:
Level Two focuses on the intermediate level of riding skills: the goal is to experiment, exchange and learn about technical and instructive strategies in order to teach intermediate to advanced boarders.

CSF Freestyle One:
This is an introduction to the coaching side of snowboarding. The Level One freestyle candidate is introduced to the snow park zone and will develop skills for air awareness. Strong switch riding, 180s and 360s rotations and half-pipe riding.

Ground Patrol:
Ground Patrol is for the ones who enjoy cruising around at high speed in the glades while going backwards. In a nutshell, it's for those who want to stay on the ground and push their riding ability to the max and find those secret spots every local has been talking about. Again no certifications are connected to this programme.

Bored? Why not get board instead?Air Force:
Programme is focussed on freestyle manoeuvres. Snowpark awareness and security and sky high doses adrenalin. No certifications are related to this programme.

Emergency Mountain First Response for Skiers and Snowboarders:
This courses has been specifically designed for Ski le Gap students. Certified instructors from the Mountain Snow Patrol train students to prevent and treat injuries and accidents on the mountain. After gaining this certification, students have the opportunity to join the Patrollers on the mountains at the weekends.
