Life at the academy will offer complete immersion in Chinese culture. Becoming a kung fu pro is hard work but very rewarding; your intensive training will give you a thorough knowledge of the basics from Shaolin, Wushu and Xingyi to the local Fujian style, White Crane.
Discipline is the name of the game so the day starts with some early morning circuit training, running and Qi Gong meditation before breakfast at 7.30am. The rest of the day will consist of a training sessions with breaks for lunch and dinner and, if you’ve still got enough energy; evening Mandarin lessons!
Your main focus will be on perfecting the stances and working up to movements, with a bit of time and the correct body alignment you’ll achieve:
• Increased health and fitness
• At least two fist forms
• Basic hard Qi Gong - conditioning of the body for fighting (optional)
• Basic Mandarin lessons (optional)
Don’t forget the longer you stay, the more you’ll learn and the better you’ll get! You can stay for up to 12 weeks.
