Travelling south from Quito we explore the best of Ecuador and Peru before ending in Bolivia’s stunning capital. Experience the Amazon Jungle in all its glory, visit indigenous market towns, marvel at Colca Canyon and Lake Titicaca, and top it off with the lost city of Machu Picchu.
Crossing into Peru we stop for some R&R on the beaches of Mancora, a quaint costal town, and ride the waves in a reed boat in Huanchaco. In Lima sample the capital’s fascinating museums and continue to Pisco for wildlife-spotting boat trips. Have a go at sand boarding and question the possibility of alien life at the mysterious Nazca lines. The attractive colonial city of Arequipa is the perfect pit stop on our journey to Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world. We travel to Cuzco to begin our trek along the famed Inca Trail bringing us to Machu Picchu in time for an unforgettable sunrise. Next we delve into the Peruvian part of the mighty Amazon Jungle with treks through the rainforest and canoe rides. Lake Titicaca offers spectacular scenery and the chance to enjoy the hospitality of the native Quechua people whilst La Paz, Bolivia’s dizzying capital city offers unusual gifts in the Witches’ Market.
