Alice Springs is where you start before heading off to the remote outback. Uluru and Kata Tjuta are the stops for the first day and spectacular ones at that. An early start is necessary for a magical sunrise. While on tour you will experience many different views and mysterious rock formations as you go. Engage in 4WD as you explore the gorges and follow the tracks of Palm Valley before heading back to your starting point.

An extra day on your itinerary in the Red Centre allows you to travel on the outback 4WD dirt road known as the Mereenie Road. Out here most tour companies don’t travel yet it has some of the most dramatic landscapes and a feel for the remote desert country. You’ll still see the icons of the Red Centre but have a more comfortable ride in our big forward facing 4WD vehicles.

How it works

Trip time: 3 Days. Starts Alice Springs and you can start at Yulara (Ayers Rock) so long as you arrive on a flight before 1.20pm on Day 1 and finishes Alice Springs. Once you’ve made your booking, just phone Adventure Tours Australia to advise where you are staying (if you haven’t already done so) so they can tell you what time they will pick you up.

You always need to reconfirm this within 48 hours before departure on ph 1300 654 604 (cost of a local Aussie call)

Cancellations and Refunds

Adventure Tours Australia will charge the following fees in the event of booking cancellations.

• 48hours-30Days 25% of fare
• 24 Hours-48 Hours 30% of fare
• Within 24 hours 100% of fare

Other operator and accommodation cancellation fees may vary from the above and are available on request. Cancellations should be made with your booking agent, who may charge an additional fee.
