Volunteers should be energetic and be ready to pitch in and help with a variety of activities. Any skills that you have in sports, music, drama, art or fundraising will be more than welcome.

Working with children can be fun and exciting but you never know what they are going to do next so be prepared for every eventuality! We include the i-to-i 40 hour online TEFL course to help with your preparation. This is the perfect placement to take as part of a gap year and can help you develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Someone energetic! Energy is the most important characteristic to possess! Initiative, enthusiasm and patience are also important and those who are really pro-active have the opportunity to start their own activities as you will be working independently for much of the time. Any specific skills that you can contribute, such as teaching experience, environmental issues, community health advice, counselling and sports coaching will be appreciated.This is the perfect placement to take as part of a gap year and can be combined with other i-to-i projects.
