Nestled on the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, South Korea remains eternally bound (in a geographical sense) to North Korea but the official union between the two countries ended back in 1945. To the west lies the Yellow Sea and beyond that mainland China and to the Southeast the Korea Straight and eventually Japan. Winters are cold with frequent snow, while summers are warm, verging on hot. This beautiful country is often overlooked by travellers, which has helped it to preserve its fascinating culture. You'll really feel like you're travelling off the beaten tourist tracks when you work in South Korea.
South Korea's TEFL market is booming and native-speaking teachers are in high demand but competition can be fierce and finding a reputable language school can be tough. You'll increase your chances greatly of gaining teaching English work in Korea, at either a government or private school, if you get qualified with one of i-to-i's internationally recognised TEFL certifications, which range from the intense and practical based Weekend TEFL Course to a choice of distant learning Online TEFL Courses and the comprehensive 100-hour TEFL Course, which includes free job placements for teaching jobs across the globe.
Our choice of TEFL Jobs Abroad will eliminate any problems you could face in finding paid teaching work in Korea, leaving you with a high salary and a great opportunity to explore a fascinating culture and earn enough to live and fund your future travels.
